More on the Industry

One could imagine with today’s technology and the scientific knowledge that mankind possesses, that by now we would have figured out how to administer and create a safe, natural and effective product out of hemp and cannabis. Yet it seems that we are stuck in the “stoned” age when it comes to figuring out how to use this natural plant.

Whether it be ignorance or stubbornness, today's manufacturers have created a product (CBD Oil) that is, if not harmful, just plain awful. They have evolved from burning the plant to soaking it in isopropyl alcohol to pushing butane through it to utilizing a CO2 Extraction method. The latter leaves such a footprint that scientists are baffled and wondering why they took this path.

To see how wacked out things have gotten, a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company thinks CBD is so worth investing in that they created 83 patents on CBD and then decided to not use one single part of the actual plant in its production of their end product. They synthetically reproduce 3 out of the 480 compounds found in the hemp plant and they call their product Epidiolex. Just in case you didn’t catch that, GW Pharmaceuticals created a synthetic or fake, unnatural version of some of the ingredients in the plant and, in the process, increased their revenues by $39 million in its Q1. That means there are thousands of people out there purchasing their product.

To get back to the production method(s) used to produce everyone's favorite oil, the most used method to extract THC and CBD from the real plant is named the Critical CO2 Extraction method. This new billion-dollar industry has collectively decided that using this method is the way to go according to many cannabis and hemp experts. The most well-known company in the industry, Realm of Caring (Charlotte’s Web) plans to completely phase out the use of isopropyl alcohol with the new Critical CO2 Extraction method. Many CBD and THC oil companies are rushing to buy this very expensive piece of equipment, the Critical CO2 Extractors. But this method is invasive, with major shortcomings, a health impact, and a huge environmental footprint.

The alternative already exists and is being used by a company in Colorado called My Nutra. They make a Hemp Paste via a process that requires almost no equipment, using the whole plant. It is not an extract, It contains all the 470+ known compounds, all the terpenes, and all 118 cannabinoids. It is so effective that less can be used to effect change.

As of May 2019, the average market price for a bottle of CBD Oil costs 15.8 cents per milligram. My Nutra's Hemp Pasteâ„¢ costs 9 cents per milligram at full retail and is further reduced during sales and with coupons. Look at our Hemp Paste vs. CBD oil brochure elsewhere on this site. Take note that it does not require as many milligrams of Hemp Pasteâ„¢ compared to using chemically extracted CBD oil to see results. Some users of Hemp Pasteâ„¢ claim they would take 60 to 80 mg of CBD oil, but when they switched over to Hemp Pasteâ„¢ they only had to take 20 to 40 mg. That helps to stretch your dollar and allow you to get more Hemp Spectrum (CBD+) for your buck. Check the Hemp Paste further by going here: BuffaloHempPaste.
