| Kirtan ChantingNext Chant August 10th, 2008 Ford Field Park in Dearborn Michigan 1:30pm -2:30pm. Featuring the Ann Arbor Kirtan
Band
Chanting is a natural way to tune into the frequency of love. Chanting combines singing and music with mantras -- words and sounds that vibrate at the highest level of awareness. The vibrations emanating from singing Sanskrit words have a tangible effect on our own inner being. It's not important to know what the words mean, or even to believe in the particular names or forms of God sometimes sung in the chants, because the ancient sounds themselves carry the energy that brings us deep inside ourselves where our own nameless, formless connection resides. The sweetness of chanting stills the mind, dissolves worries, and opens the heart. The saints describe chanting as a way of becoming saturated with God's love. Chanting can lower blood pressure, decease heart disease, reduced stress, cure infertility, and decrease AIDS symptoms, and decrease your trips to the doctor. Chanting can de-stress your life and allow the negative impact of stress on the body to dissolve. What our you waiting for? Give this form of yoga, kirtan chanting a try! Join Us On August 10th, 2008. In Dearborn Michigan at Ford Field Park for a Day of Kirtan in the Park at Yoga For Peace. |
