The Art of Joyful Living
In his book The Art of Joyful Living, Swami Rama tells us that “Happiness is of Our Own Creation”. It is our responsibility as human beings to learn how to uncover our intrinsic joy. A life that is happy and fulfilling is possible if we have the means, and Yoga Science gives us the tools to rid ourselves of negative states of being and understand our true nature – balanced and free. Much of our suffering is self-created and the vast majority of diseases are of psychosomatic origin. Research has shown that stress is a major cause of accidents and many illnesses: headaches, depression, anxiety, heart disease, high blood pressure, respiratory diseases and digestive disorders.
In this course, we will explore yoga philosophy and practice while developing personal techniques for cultivating peace and joy. Each class will include lecture/discussion, journaling, gentle asana, relaxation and meditation.
$45 for the series; $20 for one class
