Mothers are encouraged to return to class after birth when ready to regain strength, flexibility and relaxation. This class will carry you through your journey into motherhood with grace, and strength of soul and body.

For those who wish to bring their new baby, you are welcome to do so until the baby becomes mobile. Wearing the baby in a sling or wrap is recommended so that you can have your hands free.

This class is VERY appropriate for beginners and current yoga practitioners of all skill levels with a strong focus on the connection between you and baby. We also focus deeply on the breath which is so vital during your delivery; to positions that facilitate an easier, more comfortable birth; loosening the muscles, joints & bones used during birth. After walking into a yoga studio in 2012, Kelly has dedicated herself to the study of yoga. From a young age she studied classical ballet and then went on to be a competitive distance runner. Highly motivated by competition, yoga wasn’t something that appealed to her. Struggling with infertility, Kelly decided to take up yoga as a way to de-stress. After her first class her life was completely changed forever. Physical benefits are only a small portion of what she received from beginning a yoga practice. Breath, asana, and meditation revealed what was hidden deep down inside of her; confidence, peace, happiness and gratitude. Within a few months, Kelly found out that she was expecting. She became the proud mama of a wonderful baby boy. She believes yoga led her to inner peace that opened her mind, body and heart to creating a life.

As a teacher, Kelly hopes each student can have that breakthrough moment too, that moment where your mat becomes a place where all opportunities are possible. In her classes, students will go beyond their boundaries to find their inner and outer strength and balance. “Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” -B.K.S. Iyengar

Kelly is an RYT-200 and continues to expand her knowledge of yoga through seminars, workshops, trainings and reading.
